The <samp> tag

This tag is used to indicate that the enclosed tag is a "sample" and therefore has to be understood literally and not in the context that it is found.
Example: <p>There are many inline content tags like <samp>kbd</samp>.</p>
All major browsers render the sample element in a monospace font.
